TAR HEELS are now 19-8 overall, 9-5 in the ACC and 10-3 at the Smith Center this year.

ROY WILLIAMS won his 743rd career game and 325th at UNC. He is 16th all-time, three behind Phog Allen. He is seventh in ACC wins, one behind Terry Holland.

CAROLINA shot a season-high 62.3 percent from the floor. Its previous high was 60.3 percent at Wake Forest. It was the Tar Heels' best shooting effort since shooting 62.3 percent against Chaminade on Nov. 21, 2012.

CAROLINA shot better than 60 percent in both halves for the first time since playing Tennessee State on Nov. 22, 2011. Today, the Tar Heels shot 61.3 percent in the first half and 63.3 percent in the second.

This was the third time this season the TAR HEELS shot better than 50 percent from the floor in both halves in an ACC game (also at NC State and at Wake Forest).

CAROLINA had six players score in double figures led by Kennedy Meeks with 18. Brice Johnson (16), Marcus Paige (13), J.P. Tokoto (12), Isaiah Hicks (12) and Justin Jackson (11) joined Meeks in double figures. It is the first time UNC had six in double figures since the UAB game on 12/27/14.

MARCUS PAIGE had 13 points, 10 assists, four steals and no turnovers. It was his first career double-double and he tied his career high in assists.

PAIGE is the first Tar Heel with a points-assists double-double since Dexter Strickland against East Carolina on 12/15/12 and the first to have at least 10 assists and no turnovers since Kendall Marshall had 13 assists and no turnovers against NC State on 2/21/12.

PAIGE made three three-pointers, his first game with multiple threes since had three against Virginia on 2/2/15.

KENNEDY MEEKS scored a personal ACC season-best 18 points for the second consecutive game. Over the last three games, Meeks has scored 51 points (17.0 per) and is 22 of 31 from the floor (.710).

J.P. TOKOTO had 12 points, six assists and five turnovers. It was his 12th game in double figures this year and the 10th time he has handed out five or more assists. He has 23 assists and three turnovers in the last five games.

BRICE JOHNSON, who received fluids before the game for an upset stomach, had 16 points on 7 of 10 shooting from the floor. Johnson is averaging 15.9 points per game over the last nine games.

ISAIAH HICKS scored 12 points, his second straight game in double figures and the third in the last four gams. Hicks has scored in double figures seven times this year.

JUSTIN JACKSON played one of his best all-around games with 11 points, six rebounds, five assists, two steals and only one turnover in 34 minutes. It was his 12th game in double figures and the first in five games.

CAROLINA committed eight turnovers, the eighth time this year under 10 for a game. UNC has turned the ball over 23 times in the last three games and 50 times in the last five games (after having 20 against Syracuse and 19 vs. Louisville).

CAROLINA had 26 assists, its most in ACC play this season and the third-most in any game this year (29 vs. Robert Morris and 27 vs. East Carolina).

CAROLINA made a season-low eight free throws today and tied its season low with 11 free throw attempts.

JOEL BERRY II did not play due to a stomach illness.

The 29-point win was UNC's largest over Georgia Tech since a 104-74 win on 2/28/09.
