Oct 11 is National Coming Out Day.
Where I live, having an alternate sexual preference life style is celebrated and recognized as a monumental achievement. Including heavily promoted, recognized, rewarded at my work place. I personally have nothing wrong with that, to each his / her / xer own. I just think its something you can respect (like you should respect all people for who they are and what they add to work, not for what identity group they fall in) - not necessarily "celebrate"
I just didn't realize being in a closet or coming out needed to be a thing anymore. I guess it may be different in other parts of the country.
