new Syracuse AD

talks Boeheim and football.

Coyle was Boise St AD. He says he expects Syracuse to compete for ACC titles in football. Anybody think he can revive Orange football?
It would take something along these lines...

...and even then, still probably not. A region that doesn't care about college football, mixed with a student body and (the young members of) an alumni base who doesn't care about football, and a state that doesn't produce good football talent, and a region that doesn't produce good football talent. Not a good recipe for success.

I think all that is why they hired the Boise St AD. ID is sparsely populated and turns out very few 3* recruits. The largest stadium in the state in BSU's: 37,000. yet somehow Boise St became a winner.

The right HC and staff as Syracuse can win. Not the way Clemson can win, but Syracuse can put together a string of bowl teams and make some noise.

Playing the schedule they play sure helps winning. Academically BSU is a glorified community college.
