Nothing of any importance, but the publicity is always good.
Publicity kinda got to him at the end of the year. He was pretty average those last few games. Of course Longo's play calling didn't do him any favors. Let's hope Maye and the team can handle some of the press better this year.

Now on ESPN online is an article about the next NFL draft with this question: 'Will Caleb Williams or Drake Maye be QB1?'

Some Longo, but also the fact that by then opposing DCs had time to study not just Maye but also the limitations of the UNC offense. Those included the fact that our OL still was not up to snuff, s well as our RB issues and lack of WR development.

And Mack's history is not exatly that of a coach who can make great adjustments even during a season, much less during games. So the DCs we faced later in the season had a distinct advantage.

which Longo should have been aware of. I think Longo put a great system in place but I'm doubtful he had the ability to work it like he could have. Even from the start, I wondered if he understood that opposing DC's had stuff figured out and that down on the goal line or close to it, something less expected was sometimes in order. I also think we should have had a dedicated QB coach other than him.

I hope we see a lot more quick-hitter stuff in the passing game, both for our success and to help develop Drake Maye.

I feel low trashing someone after they're gone, but it's also low to cast negativity out there when a major piece of the puzzle is still here.
