65% of the Justin Fields, Tate Martell and Antonio Williams type cases were approved.

Kids should be free to switch colleges and keep a scholarship without it being a big halt to their personal growth, but this free agent type stuff is interesting.

Does it help or hurt the fun of cfb? Does it add parody or do the rich get richer?

It somewhat levels the playing field between rules for coaches and rules for players. This year 100% of coaches were allowed to transfer schools without sitting out. I wouldn't say it's always a case of rich getting richer either. The three players you mentioned all transferred away from the "rich" and only one of them transferred to another rich.

The rich will get richer. Even Bama has 5* and high 4* recruits who do not pan out. Just as schools with little if any football history have lower 3* recruits shine no later than their Soph year.

Here is a scenario: Saban has a 5* and two high 4* QB recruits who have failed to be better than high average. Meanwhile, GT began rebuilding with a low 3# recruit at QB who as a Soph led the ACC in passing yards and TD passes and completions. Suddenly the GT QB decides he must go to Bama. where he is the final piece of the puzzle. And GT slides back because no star QB wants to transfer in there.

Players who transfer away from the rich almost never are All American or even 2nd team All Conference caliber. Players who can be 1st team All American will head to Ohio St or Bama to start on a team that can win a National Title.

He gave three specific examples. That's what I was referring to. Unless you are saying UNC is one of the rich, then my statement that it won't always be a case of the rich getting richer is true.

ETA: But that's no different than it was. People aren't all of a sudden going to start transferring in large numbers just because they might be able to play immediately. Those players he mentioned would have transferred even if they had to sit out. You might see a modest increase, but there won't be a huge change.
