Have posted something similar before, but I had some interesting info today from someone who REALLY is close to Wanda.....this is the second time she told me this.
First let me say - 2016 class is the most important class at UNC in a long time......because....
Gone - Paige, Jackson, Johnson, Meeks?
Gone - NCAA Cloud
Intangables - Plenty of PT in '16, oodles of local elite talent (Giles, Smith, Bam, Seventh)
If we can't bring in an elite class with this.....then we have big problems
Now to what I was told (this has been going on at a smaller level for 2 1/2years) - if the NCAA cloud ruins the '16 class, it's 50/50 at best that Roy stays. His kids are after him bad to just stop and come home. Enjoy himself. Play golf, do what he wants. They are worried about him. We will see. Wanda has very little patience with seeing Roy belittled and criticized. It was close in 14....she wanted him to give it up then. JMO based on what I was told - for what it's worth.
