Complete interview with the Ga DB who was offered by UNC after attending its camp in June:
THI: I see that you had a busy summer and a successful one, generating a lot of attention and picking up some big offers. How was that process for you?
Head: It was a very eye-opening time. It's always a great feeling knowing that people believe in my ability on the field and are willing to take the chance of having me join their program. I've learned a lot about recruiting and met many new players and coaches that have helped me as well as my family through this process.
THI: Was there a moment at one of the camps or even beforehand that stands out when you realized you had become one of those players that was going to get a lot of attention moving forward?
Head: Well I think a big moment for me was when I was selected as First Team All-State last December by Georgia Writers Association. It really stood out, especially since it was my first year ever playing defense.
THI: That is impressive, did you ever kind of laugh and wonder why you didn't play defense before?
Head: Yes I did. I played QB but was always a good athlete, just never was on defense
THI: North Carolina is one of the schools that has offered you. Have you been to Chapel Hill and are you planning on making a trip there?
Head: UNC offered me at camp this summer. I have been there multiple occasions and plan on going to a game this fall for sure.
THI: What coach from UNC is recruiting you?
Head: Coach Scott recruits my area. But Coach Fedora, Coach Warren, Coach Chizik, and Coach Tudryn all recruit me pretty hard.
THI: Where does UNC stand on your list and what do you like about the program?
Head: Somewhere near the top, I really don't have a set list. I love the coaching staff, the tradition they hold, the facilities, and the great team atmosphere they have.
