Hope the Bruins don't squander their easier road now that the Lightning got bounced.
The upsets have been astonishing this year... Another reason I believe the NHL Playoffs are better then the NBA
every day, every year...there is really nothing like it.
Ya, really not even close in terms of excitement and unpredictability.
Lotta people were hyping the Islanders in a sweep ... 'Canes are coming back to Raleigh up 2-0 after stealing two in Brooklyn.
Since the Ovechkin-Svechnikov incident, the Hurricanes are 8-1. They outscored opponents 28-11 in those 8 wins.
I am a lifelong(since 1974 Caps fan and last year was such a great experience to see the Caps win the CUP.... Just fantastic for the city and a great party, with Ovie leading the way. This year we played the Canes in Rd 1 and frankly I thought we would win in either 5 or 6 games. Well so much for that idea. The Canes were the better team thru the playoffs, as painful as that is to admit.
I did not see any of the 2nd rd games with NY...and again I was surprised that not only did the Canes win but swept the Isles. But again this Carolina team has a certain something..... it may very well be their time with Justin Williams leading the way. He KNOWS how to win Cups and brind amour seems to be pushing all the right buttons.
The Canes have a real shot this year. They have proven that they are no fluke. I would not bet against them at this point

The canes have the right coach at the right time. Who wouldn’t play like hell for a guy with a nose that points in 5 different directions.This. Is. Brilliant.
