# 24 DooK Ap poll / # 9 in ACC standings

Well, I mean they did show up for a game several days after a snow. That's gotta count for something.

And, uh, I mean, the ACC is strong this year..........

The lil General is now 2-4 against Miami since Laranaga became their coach. With four losses in their last five games, will they drop out of the top 25 NOW? dook gives up 30 points in the paint in the second half alone and Only 7 guys see action AGAIN.

Amazing!!!

Thats what happens when u pad wins with no road games non conference

currently 4 acc wins 4 acc losses: 2 wins @ home 2 wins on the road / 2 losses @ home 2 losses on the road
current situation has nothing to do w/ non conference, but all to do with a KEY injury to a KEY player and a not so good start by a frosh and a transfer

Tough to get a start as a frosh when you don't see the court.

But by far the most comical narrative is how vital Jefferson is. Sure, all Duke's problems will be solved once the sure fire top 3 pick Amile Jefferson can come back to the lineup and go back to getting his 20 points and 10 rebounds a night.

It is AMAZING!!! Amazing how dukies can find no other way to explain things other than laying the blame on Jefferson's injury...

K says he has ONLY 6 players, which by the way is a severe insult to those kids on that duke bench, but how does a team with 7 Micky D AAs ONLY have 6 players? Who recruited the team duke has right now, it sure wasn't me, don't think Billy did it, pretty sure Roy didn't? I see duke play, I look over at their bench, I seem to see a whole bunch more than 6 guys? I have NEVER seen a program cry about 1 darn injury as much as these dukies, we set an all time record for games missed by injury in John Henson's freshman season, didn't just set a new record but blew the old one away. Last season we began with what, 5 Pgs on our roster and by Jan could not hold full practices because we only had Britt healthy enough to practice? We didn't cry about it, we carried on, Roy didn't publically insult his entire bench, he just moved forward and coached them.

Well Boo Frickin Ho that a maybe 3rd team at best All ACC guy gets hurt, duke was very lucky they didn't have any injury to slow them last season. Paige, Meeks, and Joel James have all missed multiple games this season with injury, we didn't cry about it, it is part of the game. Roy darn sure didn't throw his bench players publically under the bus like K has his own players.

Never said with Jefferson, this team would be unstoppable, but for this group, he is a key piece both defensively and on the glass and with leadership and size....all the things that are currently missing at the moment...and in spite of, all the 3/4 ACC losses were close contests that they still had a shot...even they drew within 3 or 4 against miami before they pulled away at the end....you keep speaking of the bench, the bench is jeter/obi/vrank......and jeter just isnt getting it done, he is a frosh, plenty of time....and there some other bigs notable bragg 10mpg and diallo 9mpg who arent burning it up minute and production wise....jeter is getting about 8 minutes with plenty to be had especially with jefferson out , HE just isnt getting it done, yet he is the loudest and most demonstrative guy on the bench cheering...i am sure he knows what he has to do, and it is on him.....whose making excuses???? not me, i am enjoying seeing the heart and fight that they are playing with keeping games close and competitive....i know what was accomplished last year, what can possible still be accomplished THIS year, and what is coming next year.....me personally, Im good

I will say that we could find ourselves in a similar situation after this season, especially if some of our non seniors leave after this year. I'd be fine if we find ourselves in a situation like Duke where we are having a trying and off year on the backs of a National Championship.

I completely agree. And then if Luke Maye gets hurt, we can blame the whole crappy season on his injury, and say we'd be National Title contenders yet again if only Luke didn't get hurt.

Right. But maybe Luke will be "ithe loudest and most demonstrative guy on the bench cheering..."

for whatever that gets you. LOL

Really?? Actually you guys DID cry over the injuries, always bitching about how things would be different if you weren't the most injury riddled team...blah, blah blah!! And remember when what's his name, it escapes me now, but the one you guys hilariously called Butter got hurt and you blamed that as being your reason for not winning the NC that year?? Yep, how easily some of you forget. And yeah, Jefferson may not be a first team AA but his absence is devastating to Duke. Sorry if you don't realize that (or simply hate Duke so much that you refuse to accept it). And Duke is the defending National Champion. Do you really think a bit of a down year is all that devastating?? Ha. Next year Harry Giles, Jayson Tatum and Frank Jackson, 3 of the top 10 in America, come aboard. I bet you will really enjoy that.....

At least one person around here makes some sense. Wowww.

K never plays road games OOC. At least not real ones. He might travel to southern polytechnic. If he can dodge a good fight he will. I'd respond to the rest but you've already been roasted 4x over.

Doochies need to talk about last year and what they think will be next year (until these heralded incoming freshmen aren't part of the AMAZING 6 next year, and big bad Jeter gets injured and costs them the whole season since they can't function w/o that all time great, like Jefferson).

All to avoid talking about this year in which they have a garbage squad and the Heels have the odds on favorite to win the national championship.

Hark - pretty much.

But don't forget that they also mix in plenty of talk about where they'd be if only AJ wasn't injured, and the 3,4,5 and counting games they "should've won" because they were "right there at the end" or something... LMAO at this moral victory junk, they can get back to me if games they "should've won" and were close in, matters one bit in the judgment of anyone that matters.

oh.... and the talk about how good their buster (Jeter) is at being #1 rah rah cheerleader on the bench. That's just awesome. Actually its amazing. If you see it, it's really amazing.

Nothing personal boogie, i like ya so I don't mean to be to harsh toward ya but boss, you know what they did LAST year...you know what they have coming NEXT year? I know what UNC is doing THIS YEAR! THIS YEAR, current event, not history lessons or crystal ball gazing in to the future but the here and the now. In the here & the now, I AM GOOD!

I don't wait the oh so long many many months of the off season just to bask in the glow of what happened in the past or chat with Mrs Cleo about the future, I wait all those off season months for the season that is in the here and the now. That is how it was last season, that is how it will be next season but more importantly that is how it is now. You are either dealing with a fried chicken dinner you have already eat or counting your chickens before they are hatched, I am dealing with the chickens that we have right now and happy counting them! LOL

o_O

1 injury, 1 freakin injury to a complimentary guy, not an amazing star talent, one goombah is out and all the sudden the dukies are dwindled down to talking about keeping games close, about what they may have next season? Get back to us dormer when you have multiple starters out for the season, when you are no longer able to hold practices because the injurys to your squad are so many. One freakin injury and dukies think the season is supposed to shut down? One injury to a decent but nothing more player and all the sudden the dukies have no answer and their fan base becomes NC State.

I suppose the dukies would not have had an issue with some player from an opposing team taking out Ty Jones in the elite 8 last season and K having to start a walk on to replace him and those dukies going home rather than winning the title? K would have had the kid arrested for assault had that happened to the dukies but it happened to us and this domer dukie says we cried about it?

Whoopie doo, duke has a good recruiting class coming in next season, I thought you had a great recruiting class come in for this season dukie, yall sure tried to force feed us how great your freshmen were gonna be this season? Hate to tell ya but we actually have some talent on the way to and how in the world will duke be expected to win next season when the mighty Jefferson has graduated? I mean Giles & Tatum are talented but there is no way they can hope to replace the AMAZING Jefferson, geezx, lebron is thinking retirement right now knowing that Jefferson will be in the NBA and dominating this time next season...

Exactly Dsouthr....that's what I meant...I have the joy of winning it all last season (especially until someone else is crowned)...the expectations of what the new class will hopefully bring.....and yes right now, I haven't given up hope at all...15-6 isn't horrible especially considering how it has played out...I am STILL very hopeful to what can still be accomplished...

I am just praying Jefferson does not seek a medical redshirt. Put him on the team with the fresh coming in and that would be truly AMAZING

Jefferson would be a 6th man for the rest of the ACC, yet somehow he's going to turn the dook season around. Hilarious.

I can't see him fooling around with a medical redshirt. Haven't you heard? He's absolutely AMAZING and is a sure fire top 3 pick in the draft.
