30% of Republicans want to bomb Aladdin's fictional hometown in poll

Are they as dumb as the Yale students who signed a petition to ban the first amendment, which would forfeit the right to petition? How many of those at Yale who signed were feeling the Bern? Im gonna conservatively estimate 83%.

I have learned from CNN that I can now draw a reasonable conclusion that Bernie supporters are twice as dumb as Trump supporters.

Ya the Yale deal was even more comical haha. Debates and facts and everything else doesn't matter at this point. Hilary will win the election because she seems like a reasonable choice for many at first glance, and the American populace in general is too naive to see through her BS. People don't care that she's a liar, don't care what she stands for, they just like the idea of her being president over the other candidates.

Also there was one done where a group at a save the environment meeting voted to ban water!

Well said. Sad, but true.

Maybe they should poll them. I'm guessing 90% will be voting for Hillary.

I remember on The Man Show when they did this thing where they had the guys go out and get women to sign a petition to get rid of women's suffrage. It was pretty entertaining. I mean, you could poll any group of people and come up with really stupid results because most people are just not that smart. I'm a part of the gallop stuff and whenever they ask me questions I don't know anything about I tell them that. If they try and press me for a particular answer I just refuse, saying I don't know anything about that. Most people probably don't do that so I can easily see how these things are kind of messed up.

On a side note, my household was selected as part of the census deal. So I have all this paperwork sent to me, phone calls, and even house visits. When they came a few weeks ago the UNC game was about to come on and I told them they had five minutes. I think the lady was kind of frustrated but the guy (a Michigan State fan) understood and got it done quickly.

John Kerry says hello....

I'm perfectly aware that many liberal politicians have come from Ivy League schools. I wasn't referring to just politicians, I meant the entire student body.

Good point. I always forget that Ivy League students are largely conservative.

I don't have the numbers and I don't care enough to look, but I'd bet you're wrong...which wouldn't be a shocker to anyone here.

Now their parents - people who have lived long enough to see that liberal policies are shit - are most likely to be conservative.

Yikes. So you're actually under the impression that all liberal policies are "shit?"

How about child labor laws? Worker protection laws? Ending slavery? Universal suffrage? Social Security? The Civil Rights Act?

I'm sure you love having interstate highways to drive on, guess where those came from? A liberal policy from a president who was a democratic socialist...

Maybe all of them, like all people, are some of both, depending on the situation.

Ike was a liberal and democratic socialist? I don't think so.

As far as ending slavery, that was more religious evangelicals that pushed for that, right? Kind of like tea party folks today. Universal suffrage? Really. Going back a long ways on those 2.

Civil Rights Act? You mean the one opposed by most democrats?

Social security? Turned out to be largely a scam, didn't it? Just a way to raid people's retirement money. Now I'll admit many seniors were helped but many more have been defrauded. No real cash in that trust fund. Could have just had a welfare program for seniors needing the money. The charade has been it was a "trust fund." Most people would get sent to prison for running a trust fund like the democrats have.

Somehow I mixed up FDR and Eisenhower. Regardless, building the interstate system was a liberal proposal.

The Civil Rights Act was opposed by the Democrats of the time who would now definitely be Republicans. Surely you're aware that the political parties flipped ends of the spectrum.

Social Security has helped countless widows, orphans and elderly people to survive. Of course that goes wholly against everything the Republican party stands for, so its no surprise you're opposed to it. And the idea that democrats have single-handedly been running it is absurd.

Ending slavery was also clearly a liberal idea. And it was about time that some evangelicals stepped up to help end it, considering they had been using their bibles to justify it for so long.

Not sure what professors at Yale have to do with self identified Republicans wanting to bomb a fictional city.

...

Also anyone with any common sense would know that carpet bombing middle eastern cities would do more to swell the ranks of ISIS than it would do them harm. We've been bombing the hell out of the middle east and they just got stronger as a result of it. The collateral damage just throws gas on the fire. If it hasn't worked so far, so we should try more of it right? Gotta love that neo-con logic.

Are you kidding? How old are you? You mentioned the Interstate Highway System and who proposed it. Now you say it was a "liberal" proposal.

Obviously you have no clue why it was proposed and done. It was a military and national security proposal. That's why it was proposed and done. The idea was we needed a way to move military vehicles, including tanks, if we were invaded and if nuclear war with the Soviets ensued. Got that? Let's drive it home. Do you REALLY understand that?

As far as those democrats, they were not Republicans and frankly most of them would never be. They liked big government. They just wanted to keep those they called the N-word(s) down. That was their deal with the other democrats going back to Wilson and later the New Dealers. Liberals sold the black man down the river. Progressives were worse and wanted black folks oppressed, and more moderate and conservative types that were racists were happy as long as the progressives maintained their vicious racist passion and squishy liberals went along with it for political power. That was the democrat party story for decades, and liberals fully understood and did their part. Can't blame that on Republicans.

Um, evangelical Christians didn't step in. They led the effort. You are clueless about history, including the history of abolitionism.

Well, that's completely untrue even though I wouldn't favor carpet bombing since much of the population are more victims than supporters. Truth be told, the carpet bombing language is just oversold rhetoric. We could have carpet bombed the Pashtun tribes that backed the Taliban and from a military perspective, that would work since you kill off the population.

But getting away from the language, more aggressive bombing and action would help. Those like yourself may not realize you are going along with the murder, rape, butchery and enslavement of thousands, perhaps millions, of people. These monsters need to be stopped.

The other thing is ISIS didn't get there and hasn't stayed there on it's own. They are backed and supported by Obama and Hillary, who armed and organized the funding of them, and in terms of Obama, who has also protected them and personally prevented the military from taking them out while pretending to be trying to stop them.

It appears that could be changing. Just don't fool yourself in where they came from.

Obama is ISIS.

Obama is ISIS.

Uhhh you do know that 36% of dems were opposed to bombing it while 19% supported it. WHICH MEANS 54% OF DEMS EVIDENTLY BELIEVED THE PLACE EXISTED! COMPARED TO 50% OF REPUBS!!! (41 and 9)

BWAHAHAHAHHHAAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

Doncha love it when your own link kicks your face in?

Maybe, JUST MAYBE, the responders assumed the question was related to the issue of carpet bombing that was raised in the GOP debate and they didnt pay close attention to the name of the city. Crazy huh?

Hey dude, you hijacked your own thread by bringing up academic political spectrum if Ivy league students and I will take your non response as tacit agreement that majority of academic teachers are liberal as hell.

I'm sure they are. More educated people tend to be more liberal. However, there are still quite a lot of the old money conservatives on Ivy League campuses.

You're not very good at this are you? The interstate highway system was implemented by Dwight Eisenhower, who was a moderate conservative Republican.

And furthermore, in that poll, more liberals believed that the city existed than did conservatives, but more conservatives wanted to bomb it.

This post is so comical. Hahaha.

It amounts to "Yes I realize I'm a moron, but I'm going to continue to be a moron to try to get myself out of the hole I dug". Give it up dude. I'm fully a moderate, and hate seeing blind conservative or blind liberal garbage spewed out.... and the vitriol you've been spouting for this whole thread is absolutely blind garbage.

You really are a feminine hygiene product, and the bag it came in.

Bombing Mordor wouldn't really fix anything without the ring going down. I was also unaware Aladdin had a home and this home had a name. I mean, it is a cartoon. Cartoon characters often don't have 'places of origin'.

Bombing Mordor (on the Potomac) wouldn't really fix anything without the ring going down.

But doing so might shorten the process of elimination as to who actually has the ring, and winnow the ranks of orcs and such, not to mention dissuading those random Boromirs coveting rings of their own, no?
