It's hard to believe but its been 50 years ago that Woodstock happened in Bethel NY. According to many who attended, over 500K people were present. Among all of that humanity, there wasn't any violence, everyone helped their neighbors, and there were quite a few bad trips. I believe there were a couple of births also. Where in America would this be possible today? What happened? I was only 10 at the time, but we knew a guy in our neighborhood that went and was stuck on the highway leading to the site. He didn't get there until the 2nd day. I never spoke with him about it but others did and he said it was fantastic. His observations were of love and understanding between everyone there. He didn't witness any act of violence against anyone, according to him. My mother said he mainly only mentioned the love everyone had for one another and how everyone helped each other when needed. I really wish I had been able to attend but here is something I thought I would post to celebrate the 50th anniversary of WOODSTOCK!
