Five UNC football teams have started a season 9-1 or better, including the 2015 edition. Here are those teams:

1922 - 9-1 (9-1)
1972 - 9-1 (11-1)
1980 - 9-1 (11-1)
1997 - 9-1 (11-1)
2015 - 9-1 (???)
