I was expecting to wake up this morning to find us in 10th place in the ACC. But we got some help from Wake and Ga Tech with their (mild) upsets of FSU and Syracuse, respectively. So we are tied for 8th (with FSU).
FSU still has the tiebreaker, of course, so that presumably translates to a 9 seed, if the ACCT were being held today. The 9 seed plays the 8 seed - so that would give us a rematch with FSU on a neutral court. In which I like our chances. Next up would be Virginia - which isn't showing signs of folding this year (yet).
We still have one of if not the most brutal closing stretches in the conference. That's important because if we should slip to a 10 seed (or worse), then we don't even get a 1-round bye.
We need wins.
No more letdowns.
