Amen, Mike. We owe a huge debt of gratitude to those two who were the foundation for last year's team as well as this one. But then again, that's ever as it has been for the almost 6 decades I've been blessed to be a UNC fan. The new guys stand on the shoulders of the great ones who preceded them. They in turn, add their own legacy to the collective legacy and enrich it even further.Who set the tone for this teams play? May I introduce you to Marcus & Brice. Team 1st who gave it all, just came up one shot short of an NCAA Championship. Berry and Theo have carried it on in fine fashion, as im sure Luke and Kenny will do the same. Blessed to be a Tar Heel!

GDTBATH
Favorite highlight reel play was the Jalek spin move and pass to Huff for the thunderous slam!!
I agree with all that has been said, and:
There is another subset of the Family represented recently by D. Noel, J. James, K. Meeks, and L. (Bird) Maye! These are the guys that were doubted and had obvious deficiencies coming in. They worked their tails off and eventually contributed to UNC success! I think peeps like K. Williams, Brooks, Manley, Huff, and J. Felton are learning the lessons of hard work/toughness and skill development!
Dadgum straight it is a GDTBATH!
Totally agree, great point. What do each of those guys have in common- they are TEAM guys!!! Each of those guys were also very humble guys as they trusted in Roy and his plan for them while also never putting themselves and their ups and downs in the way of the team. They are true Heels because they only wanted to benefit the team anyway the could and definitely did.
Kennedy will always hold a special place in my heart. All that he went through at Carolina, from having to losing weight and committing himself to it and to getting himself to into such a great conditioned state from where he was as a freshman who had to do the mile run over a dozen times. Him ultimately being able to overcome all that and being one of our most important pieces of last years run definitely shows something about who he is. That final four performance vs Oregon that he put can only be described as remarkable and all came together with that beautiful rebound. That play always makes me think of his time at Carolina because if you look at it closely that in order to get that rebound he had to battle two players to get it, it wasn't just handed to him and just like his experience at Carolina he had to work hard to get where he was and through the process he never gave in. He was determined and came out on top, the only way imaginable- a Champion.
You guys know me I love adding videos, these final seconds are just too good not to relive. Take a close look at Kennedy's miss and the way he crashed the glass, if not for Theo tapping it out there, which was one "Heel" of a play Kennedy may have very well gotten it himself. Wow, I can't believe I never realized that, that just goes to show you how badly he wanted this game and how he evolved into such an amazing player. And it was only fitting for him to seal the Natty with a huge block and a great heads up steal.
Amen, brother.Simply put, we are BLESSED!
Wake is a good ACC opener, a game we really need to win if we want to win the ACC regular season.
Indeed. BTW, you're one of my favorite posters, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and polite. Keep posting, buddy.
When you guys agree with me, you're both some of my favorite posters! When you disagree....well
I'm going to the game too and I hope we take no prisoners and put the fear back into the ACC! Play our game and give good effort and should be fine.
