That broke my heart. What a horrible way to parent this boy. She's teaching him that he is unworthy unless he believes as she does! I guess she forgot we are in America or never learned that we are free to believe as we want to. That's so very sad to watch. I'll be praying for this little man.
Apparently social services checked on this and determined it was all a "joke" and the kid was fine.
Coming from a family that took in several kids whose parents didn't want them and helped them get into college, this hit home with me. Heartbreaking that a kid has to live like that.

Agreed . . . thats a lot of unnecessary trauma thrown on some young kids just to get a reaction and a laugh.

Staged by whom? It wasn't acting on the part of the child. That child was traumatized.
