Every time I think back to last year, I invariably come to the last 2 minutes of the ACCCG game and the "phantom offsides" call against the Heels on a very well executed/successful onsides kick and the fact that such call was "not reviewable". I have 2 questions regarding the officiating of that play:
1. I know there was a LOT of outrage and protest made about the obviously blown call (per TV replay). Has anything been done in the offseason to allow or even require that such calls be reviewable - I haven't heard anything and was curious if it was even discussed in offseason rules reviews/updates?
2. Is the blind (crooked?) SOB who threw that flag still employed by the ACC for the coming season? I would hope he's been dismissed for incompetence and given a review that would make him unhireable by any collegiate conference.
Anyone have information regarding either inquiry?
