Here we go. There is major money to be gotten by football programs that can get into the playoffs. 9 wins gets nothing extra, neither does 10 wins unless you have a couple of big WXs against top 10-15 teams. Weak OOC schedules are going to hurt big time.

I'm assuming revenue generating means basketball and football (since all sports generate revenue). That's a pretty bad deal for us, because we would get significantly more money if all sports were included.

I'm assuming revenue generating means basketball and football (since all sports generate revenue). That's a pretty bad deal for us, because we would get significantly more money if all sports were included.

I interpreted "revenue generating" to mean those sports with a net profit! BBall and Football at UNC subsidize most other sports so the overall athletic department shows a profit. Many of our sports actually operate at a loss or barely break even, including some of the most successful. Hopefully, our money guys wouldn't vote for a system that doesn't guarantee our portion increases.
