Just hate those blackouts, which have been happening more often than not. 😎😎😎"The CW will broadcast 28 men’s basketball games.... These games will be featured in December, January and February with men’s basketball doubleheaders taking place every Saturday afternoon...."
Excellent.
I hope that reduces the chances of blackouts. Not a huge problem for me, but happens a couple times a year for our games, and a few more for other ACC games I might want to watch.
Those blackouts were usually because of Bally sports. Shouldn't be a problem with CW since it's just a local channel."The CW will broadcast 28 men’s basketball games.... If that partner is willing to pay each team another $50 million a year, then sure.Could finding another partner potentially sweeten the pot enough to make peeps want to stay in the ACC?

Miami, FSU, and Clemson I'm guessing! (the ones other conferences really want IMO)
We are by far the biggest fish. Wouldn't be the first time we had an offer. Supposedly back when Maryland left, we were the first choice (along with UVA I think) for the Big. In hindsight, we probably should have accepted based purely on financial reasons.Miami, FSU, and Clemson I'm guessing! (the ones other conferences really want IMO)
It really wouldn't make much sense to extend an offer at this point I wouldn't think. If the other conferences don't think they can get out of the GofR, then why offer right now and potentially have it leak? I'm guessing those conferences, or the commissioner of them, have an idea of who they will be offering once we get closer to the expiration of rights. They would be pretty bad at their job if they weren't ready to make those calls once the time comes.Nobody is leaving the conference any time soon. The GOR is rock solid. And besides, where would teams go? Only a couple have offers from other P5s, and they aren't who most people think.
AJ tricked me, lol! My first thought was UNC, but he said it wasn't who we all thought! UNC, puke, Clemson would be who I would want. But I agree that they would have to wait out the agreement since it is so airtight. Hopefully, the ACC has time and the will to keep finding sources of revenue + tweak it so success garners a bigger piece of the pie so peeps can afford to stay together!
duke is going to be an interesting case. They don't really fit the culture of either conference, although I would say they fit better in the big because of academics. What I'm wondering is are they going to be used as an enticement for us to join a conference? I don't think our decision will depend on duke, but it might be something that would be used as a tiebreaker.AJ tricked me, lol! My first thought was UNC, but he said it wasn't who we all thought!
