Here are the ACC teams in ESPN's top 25
  1. Duke
  2. Miami (Fla.)
  3. North Carolina
  4. Louisville
  5. Notre Dame
Same top 5, but different order.

Here's Pomeroy's list

1. Duke 13-5

2. UVa 12-6
3. UNC 12-6
4. Lousville 12-6

5. Notre Dame 11-7
6. Miami 11-7

7. Ga Tech 9-9
8. Clemson 9-9

9. Va Tech 8-10
10. FSU 8-10
11. Wake Forest 8-10
12. Syracuse 8-10

13. BC 5-13

14. NC State 4-14
15. Pitt 4-14

Again, a lot of agreement at the top, but less going down the list.

Note that although Pomeroy shows a bunch of ties on W-L, the ranking is based on his calculated measure, where there are no ties. I grouped them by W-L but the order within groups is by Pomeroy's measure.

Technically, it's possible (even likely) for a team with a worse W-L to have a better rating score. In fact, because we have a very tough schedule this season, that might happen to us.

That happened to UVa, Duke and Wake last season.

I tend to agree with Pomeroy's rankings. I'd say I expect Clemson, Wake Forest, and Cuse to struggle even more than that (though I guess they get to beat up on the bottom feeders). I like Va Tech, and if Padgett is good Louisville has a great roster this year.
