You're misreading the tweet. He's saying our schedule has been harder than Michigan and USC. Both are top 10 teams.
And the reasons they are rankled as they are and we are ranked as we are is they are BT and future BT schools with big football histories, while UNC is ACC with little football history.
It's all about polls and NCAA and everybody else bowing to BT and SEC and their football histories.
not saying you're wrong about built-in prejudices, but the reason they are ranked as they are is because they are better football teams. No point in sugarcoating anything.
Probably, but are there other teams behind them that are better than them? Personally I think polls shouldn't come out until at least six weeks in the season. You know who a team is by that point.
you know MORE about who a team is by then, but you don't have to wait six weeks to know who should be near the top and who shouldn't. And anyway, it isn't a beauty contest where someone is judged the winner. It's just a continually adjusted educated guess that becomes more and more meaningful as more games are played.
I actually hate seeing us rise in them because it ususally means were being set up for a letdown.
You misread my subject line. "Ain't played nobody" Is a joke phrase among Bill Connelly and sports nerds types.
