Allen suspended -- WOWWWW

Hilarious!

West Point discipline? I have a buddy who attended and graduated from West Point while K was coaching there , he said he had lunch with K a couple of times because of the way they would rotate who sat where at lunch. He said K was a pretty nice guy , but he was very disappointed with how he handled the Allen suspension. I guess winning has trumped the "West Point way".

I think we should start a campaign now to get Allen a fifth year of eligibility! That horrible one game suspension should not be allowed to sully his good name, oh and by the way an extra year means we get to watch him lose another early round NCAA tourney game against a lower seed. That is certainly worth the effort!

Tripper is a rising senior, right? Would love the entertainment for another season.

A bit off topic. But since you mentioned West Point - there is a book by John Feinstein written within the last couple years, about Dean, K, and Jimmy V. I can't recall the title, but its pretty good, about these three coaches climb in ACC, personalities, struggles, conflicts with each other, rivalries and eventual friendships.

A quote from K was about how livid he (Army) would be if they ever lost to Navy. "We are Army. We NEVER EVER lose to Navy. Never." It was near life or death for K. He was so obsessed with it.

I just assume when Duke plays UNC, K sees UNC / Roy as Navy, and Duke as Army. A battle of the utmost importance for him. I just don't buy that Roy sees these matchups with anything near that level of importance, obsession, hatred.

I think Roy places a lot of importance on the rivalry but I really do think he has more actual hate for State. You can tell he just despises that place, whereas he respects Duke.

Duh. Winning pays that 10 mill a year salary.

Would love to see Grayson The Tripper return for another season.
I would love to see him (wrongly, ill-advised) bolt, expecting a first round selection, and end up languishing on end of some NBA bench til he is bumped down to the D league in some middle of nowhere town.

The book is "The Legends Club." It's a really good read.
