I would venture to say there is more out there than what we think. At the very least, plant and animal based life. But it could be star trekish as well. Anyone one know someone who claims to have been abducted? I do

@heelmanwilm did you get abducted, or just your reply last night?

lol. I replied with my ufo encounter. Then deleted it cause it sounds so crazy. When I read it I thought to myself “wow what a nut job”. I’ll just say if you google “Phoenix lights” it’s a story about people in ariz seeing exactly what me and others saw on the beach one night about 10-12 yrs ago

It was an interesting story. To bad everyone didnt see it. Any belief in aliens is viewed to be crazy.

My brother told me of things like that while at sea on the Diligence. Speeding lights. You know it's dark 100 miles off shore

Yes. He was stationed there for 4 years . No he has a career with meth and heroin. 12 years in and 1 skank whore steered him away from a family of 4. He says he sees Angel's now when he shoots up

Man, oh man... sorry to hear that about your brother. Very sad. My wife has a family member that has veered down that path. Hopefully they will be able to get their life back before its too late.

very familiar with that pain brother. My heart goes out to you. Wilmington has for many years been called the opioid capital of the US. Prob because of the state port and inept law enforcement. A guy I’ve known for years who did pool repairs for me died from it last week. Didn’t have a clue he was an addict.

It's hard. Worse part was basically cutting him out of my life. We fought every day up until he was 16. Someone hit him at the beach and I came in looking for them with murder on my heart. From that we talked everyday till about 8 years ago. Took me 4 of those years talking and arguing with him about his problem. I haven't talked to him since early October and that was only because he was in jail. I miss him, but that person who is in his shell is not my brother. I try to look at it like he died 7 years ago. Everytime I see a SC number pop up, I expect it to be a call to identify his body

There have been some new treatments popping up for addiction in the past few years. Could be worth looking into

If it requires rehab, he refuses. Is it a blocker style med?

Rehab generally has an extremely low success rate anyways. There have been some recent studies that suggest MDMA, and possibly LSD and Psilocybin can be successful at treatment for addiction. People have been running Ayahuasca treatment centers in Central and South America for a long time. Something about psychedelics triggers introspection in a way that allows addicts to address the psychological or emotional root of their addiction problems. Might sound like hippy bullshit to some people, but if it can save someone's life then I think it's worth looking into.

Life on earth was basically a one-in-a-zillion occurrence. On the other hand, the universe is so vast that it challenges our comprehension of infinity. I personally think that it's possible, likely even, that there is other life in the universe. But considering how relatively young the earth is and the distance between solar systems, I think it's highly unlikely we'll ever encounter alien life or vice versa.

I saw a funny tweet the other day. It said that considering how poorly we're reacting to the coronavirus, it's no wonder the government hasn't told us about the aliens.

yea I’ve thought of how we would respond to such news. My guess, about half would dismiss it as govt lies while the other half would run off and live in the woods.
