And down goes Kansas.....

wow .. would have never thought that .. bet neither did Kansas

Well, they did play without Jackson and have some off-the-court distractions. I wonder which Kansas will show up next weekend.

UNC in the driver's seat to get the overall #1 seed assuming they can win the ACCT.

If & that's a big if... Carolina gets the overall #1 seed, I believe the team that gets it picks their region. Would Carolina pick the east or south?
I'd go with the east to force Villanova to travel.

4 wins against Top 7 opponents in 30 days would be impressive. I don't think they get there, but if they do, I'd probably put them #1 overall.

I also think that if Duke wins the ACCT, they should be a higher (rated) seed than UNC. I imagine that is probably not a popular opinion around here, but I think it's valid given the 3 additional top 25 wins and head to head results the tourney produced. Of course, I'm betting the rest of my Bovada account UNC wins tomorrow so

Do you think the 5 seed in the ACC tournament should be a higher seed in the NCAA tournament than the ACC regular season winner?
People put WAY too much emphasis on conference tournaments.

Ha! crazy! I'd put the number of teams that are ahead of Dook regardless of what happens from here on out at about 4-8. Including KU, Gonzaga, Nova, UNC, Oregon, UCLA.... that's just for starters. So you could beat us by 50 and I don't see how you get to a 2.

You also lost 3 of 4 - twice!! (so, like 6 of 8 in a couple different 2-week periods) in the last 60 days.... including in the last two weeks. So tap the brakes on the selective gerrymandering of the stats.

No worries. Win the ACC and you'll get the 2 in the Zags region. I'd bet a lot of money on that.

Yikes, Duke will probably get Gonzaga as a 1 seed, and Baylor as the 2. Starting to remind me of that weak ass region they were in, in 2010.

Looks like Lunardi has already given us KUs second 1 seed.

I was referring to UCLA, not Duke.

Curious, do you think a 6 loss UNC team deserves a 1 seed over a 3 loss UCLA team assuming both win their tournaments?
Given the strength of the ACC this year I still think UNC should be the #1 seed in that situation. If you guys beat us tonight and UCLA goes on to win their tournament I think you could make a strong argument for them over us, but it's hard to ignore the fact that UNC won the regular season by two games in the hardest conference.

Fair enough. If (when) you guys win tonight, I think you would've locked up a 1 seed no matter what happens. But let's say you lose the champ game. It would be interesting to see what the committee would do with a 7 loss UNC team, a 4 loss KU team, a 1 loss Gonzaga, a 3 loss Villanova, and a (hypothetically) 3 loss UCLA team. That's where it gets interesting.

I only care about one thing right now....beating that festering cesspool in Durham like those punk arse rats stole my cheese!

Seeds don't mean squat because puke will get a favorable run to the FF even if they are an 8 seed! AND UNC will get a #1 with Baylor and Kentuck as our 2-3 seeds and Kansas or Villanova as our counterpart on the other side of the draw!

puke sux!
Go Tar Heels!

This just in to ESPN. Duke has been awarded a "1 seed after Coach K successfully lobbied for that award in a midnight meeting. Gonzaga will be the #2 seed in that region in what many are sure to call a dream matchup. In fact it will be the only matchup as the committee has ruled that no other teams will be allowed in the region so as to hopefully get Duke to the FF as requested (no demanded) by K. In return K has promised that his team will commit no more than 10 cannon flops and/or trips during the tournament. Asked to comment K muttered that he will have to change his entire coaching methods and felt at this late date in the season it will be hard to change the obnoxious behavior of his team. On a positive note, the league did rule that Luke K will be allowed to carry a comb with him during play to correct any out of place hairs during the action. And in a further consession K said he is only bringing 6 players to the tournament which is all he wanted anyway so as to save on travel funds and not dilute the scoring averages of his players. More to come...

He can sell the fact that there are only 9 losses total between them! That'll be less than any other 1-2 combination!

On a cultural note: Ratty lobbied the US Department of the Interior and got the Gonzaga center classified as a Sasquatch! He has been deported since the latest executive order listed mythological creatures as threats to national security!
