If & that's a big if... Carolina gets the overall #1 seed, I believe the team that gets it picks their region. Would Carolina pick the east or south?Well, they did play without Jackson and have some off-the-court distractions. I wonder which Kansas will show up next weekend.
UNC in the driver's seat to get the overall #1 seed assuming they can win the ACCT.
Darn. Just darn.Way to go TCU.
Given who they've played, absolutely.Curious, do you think a 6 loss UNC team deserves a 1 seed over a 3 loss UCLA team assuming both win their tournaments?
Do you think the 5 seed in the ACC tournament should be a higher seed in the NCAA tournament than the ACC regular season winner?I also think that if Duke wins the ACCT, they should be a higher (rated) seed than UNC. I imagine that is probably not a popular opinion around here, but I think it's valid given the 3 additional top 25 wins and head to head results the tourney produced. Of course, I'm betting the rest of my Bovada account UNC wins tomorrow so
Ha! crazy! I'd put the number of teams that are ahead of Dook regardless of what happens from here on out at about 4-8. Including KU, Gonzaga, Nova, UNC, Oregon, UCLA.... that's just for starters. So you could beat us by 50 and I don't see how you get to a 2.4 wins against Top 7 opponents in 30 days would be impressive. I don't think they get there, but if they do, I'd probably put them #1 overall.
I was referring to UCLA, not Duke.Ha! crazy! I'd put the number of teams that are ahead of Dook regardless of what happens from here on out at about 4-8. Including KU, Gonzaga, Nova, UNC, Oregon, UCLA.... that's just for starters. So you could beat us by 50 and I don't see how you get to a 2.
You also lost 3 of 4 - twice!! (so, like 6 of 8 in a couple different 2-week periods) in the last 60 days.... including in the last two weeks. So tap the brakes on the selective gerrymandering of the stats.
No worries. Win the ACC and you'll get the 2 in the Zags region. I'd bet a lot of money on that.
Given the strength of the ACC this year I still think UNC should be the #1 seed in that situation. If you guys beat us tonight and UCLA goes on to win their tournament I think you could make a strong argument for them over us, but it's hard to ignore the fact that UNC won the regular season by two games in the hardest conference.Curious, do you think a 6 loss UNC team deserves a 1 seed over a 3 loss UCLA team assuming both win their tournaments?
Fair enough. If (when) you guys win tonight, I think you would've locked up a 1 seed no matter what happens. But let's say you lose the champ game. It would be interesting to see what the committee would do with a 7 loss UNC team, a 4 loss KU team, a 1 loss Gonzaga, a 3 loss Villanova, and a (hypothetically) 3 loss UCLA team. That's where it gets interesting.Given the strength of the ACC this year I still think UNC should be the #1 seed in that situation. He can sell the fact that there are only 9 losses total between them! That'll be less than any other 1-2 combination! This just in to ESPN. Duke has been awarded a "1 seed after Coach K successfully lobbied for that award in a midnight meeting. Gonzaga will be the #2 seed in that region in what many are sure to call a dream matchup. .
