Les Miles. Guy has been winning during his tenure, brings in a ton of recruits and has a bad 3 games, and he's now dealing with possibly being fired.

Fedora can win a national title(s) and build a dominant program here easier than some of these other "elite" schools with a bunch of whiney alums and boosters angling to ride you out on a rail once you have a bad season.

Chizik knows. But his situation is different. If he would stay 4-5 years, we'd be lucky.

Les Miles has underachieved for a while with monster recruiting classes(beyond just 3 bad games)...so has Mark Richt at Georgia...SEC win big or get fired.

I think the biggest issue that LSU has with Les Miles is that he rarely has a bona-fide QB. It seems like he wants to win every game 13-10, and that puts too much pressure on your defense when you KNOW that your offense is not able to move the ball when teams shut down the running game.

LSU almost always lacks a sound QB because Miles assumes a 1st rate athlete equals a QB. So he keeps emphasizing Jordan Jefferson types in QB recruiting. T is his downfall, which is similar to Beamer's.

Five straight losses to Alabama and a record inside the conference that has progressively gotten worse over the last three/four seasons AND the three consecutive losses this year is why he is gone. their offense is why they can't cultivate a QB.

mack brown is an excellent example. yes, he got his title at texas, but his final years there were not happy. unc is the best of both worlds: great potential for a national contender in football without the cutthroat pressures on the coach.
