so out of the blue i started getting static on the low end when i turn my unit up loud. Sounds like papernbeing crumpled with each note especially the bass. Since its a jeep with a soft top i have to have it loud when moving so my $700 stereo system is currently useless. Heres what i know

Does it with the sub disconnected
Does it regardless of audio source, (Aux, bluetooth, tuner and usb)
Does it with antennae dosconnected
Does it regardless of which speaker u isolate (there are 4 mids and two tweeters and a thumper) and whichever fade and balance u use
Replaced the head unit, no help
All connections have been thoroughly cleaned
The head unit came with a vehicle specefic wiring harness that i’ve also replaced with a new one. No help

Just get a new car. That should fix the problem.

They’re all aftermarket. It would mean all 6 are blown since it does it regardless of which one u isolate. But i guess thats possible.
Less likely, being aftermarket, unless you've been, say, constantly cranking them hard to hear over the wind noise. ;)

What else would affect all the speakers? Are they running off an external amp or just the head unit?

Just the head which shouldnt push enough to hurt the speakers.
