Any news on Berry?

Was moving a bit slow after game but I'd be surprised beyond words if they put him back out there like they did up 30. He seemed to move totally fine without favoring anything. I assume he'll get extra treatment but it looks like a dodged bullet.
Watching the replay he did not come down bad on the other guys foot not a lot of weight and he immediately pulled up to prevent more of a roll. The fact that he was off the court a while and came back and did not seem to favor it or be bothered makes me believe that he is and will be fine. I have rolled my ankle a couple of times on the court and a true turn will put you on your butt for weeks and is a terrible pain. He got lucky and avoided that type injury.
The LAST thing I wanted was him back out on the court BUT I guess that is a good thing. He wanted to test the ankle, looked like he was moving a little gingerly on it. Ice it, rest it tomorrow and be ready to roll Sunday
Hopefully, he can play without caution on Sunday. Honestly, I understand all the drama about a 16 vs 1 seed but if I were in charge of the tournament I would not have any 16 teams in at all. Give the number 1 seeds a bye and play from there. Injuries are the only thing you don't know about in a 16/1 matchup. Teams just so over matched the games are not fun to even watch (unless the Tar Heels are playing)
I was already talking to my TV about how I wish Roy would take the starters out ... then literally less than a minute later, Berry collapses. We're already a 1 seed, no need to make a statement and win by 40. I understand rhythm and all of that, but still.
Unfortunately, we can't. I was impressed by the Hogs yesterday. We need Joel near full speed if we're to beat them.
We're not half the team we are with Joel. He's the straw that stirs our drink. I pray he's okay.
He looked fine on the court yesterday. If it was anything really serious, we'd know by now.
True. We won't beat Arkansas without him. Four years in and Britt still can't run the offense. The ball sticks to him and nothing flows. And woods is far from ready. Berry is the most important person on this team if we are gonna make a deep run.
Arkansas has a good big that will test Hicks Meeks Bradley to play good d and hit the glass hard.
One other thing which Gary mentioned is they seem to contact / foul a lot. I hope it gets called right.
The hogs players sometimes were sniping at each other quite a bit when guys weren't getting enough shots. Not a super disciplined team.
Re: Berry, he drove about zero times yesterday. Same for Jackson though he did get a couple ice finishes in the lane. Would like to see both get more driving finishes AND FTs from driving as well.

Huh? He's not on any mock draft list. He's not going anywhere.
But more importantly, I'd be shocked if he doesn't play tomorrow but the bad news is that this is not as minor as we thought.
Report from just a few minutes ago, JB says he feels a little sore, doing his treatment and expects to play.
Hopefully it's all precautionary regarding not practicing today and he'll be ready tomorrow. Glad we have a later start time; few extra hours can't hurt.
If we win it all, I guess he could try to make the jump. But where do you think he's going? He will have to play NBDL ball and make his way onto a team. He is not a first round pick.
Then he can play DL ball. He'll get paid for that. He's having some injury scares and the last thing you wanna do is damage the one thing that will make you some money--- your body. Kendall Marshall is another example. Why play for free? He's played 3 years.
If he comes back, I'll be shocked. If we go to the FF, I would pretty much guarantee he's gone. If he doesn't, good for us as fans. i highly doubt it.
I'm 90% certain he comes back despite how the season ends. Care to make it interesting?
