If so tell me about your experience with them. I want to buy a 2008 or 2009 with under 200000 miles on it. I see them on Craigslist for 5 grand and less. Thanks.

Also been away for a while. Mike Irby how is he doing now? I know in the past he would post how he was doing and what treatments he was going thru. Thanks for any updates.
One time I was a designated driver and had to drive a prius. I hit the ignition button like four times because I couldn't tell if the engine actually started.
Don't you have to replace the batteries every 7 years or so? 2008 / 09 models would be suspect. Maybe that's why they're so cheap?

My only experience with them is from seeing them on the highways. Apparently, their turn signals do not work and they have a tendency to be driven by inattentive people of all ages.
Only real men on this board who drive jacked up, gas drinking, 4 x 4's. Maybe Dook's board would have the answer or @tw3301 .
I've never had a Prius but my mother in law does and I've owned other hybrids. At 200k on the odometer if it still has the original hybrid battery it's on borrowed time. Pricing on those is coming down but I imagine you're still looking at $1500-$2000 to replace it.
Otherwise they're good cars. Obviously great on gas, and surprisingly useful in terms of toting stuff (for its size).
