I don't think the coaches want him taking hits the way that Marquise did. Not only is he just not built the way MW was, you also have to remember that if Quise got hurt we always had Mitch right behind him. I seriously doubt the coaches feel anywhere close the the same way about the backup situation this year.
That being said he has the speed to keep the end honest. They have to play the ball which opens up the pitch. Its a great way to get the ball to a speedster like TJ Logan in space.
