Thanks.Under Settings/Privacy/Content Settings you can change how Chrome handles plugins like the Flash player that most of those autoplay ads use. Change it to "Let me choose when to run plugin content." You can still play videos that you want to play but nothing will run automatically.
I avoid anything and everything that has to do with Google if at all possible. It has a disastrous effect on my computer, slows it down tremendously
