Anyone ever use a grill with a rear vertical burner?

Paging @grillheel

Just got a new gas grill that has 4 standard burners and one "rear burner" that Is on the back wall of the apparatus. What is the proper way to use this rear burner?

I have an expensive natural gas grill that came with the house I bought and it has an electric rotisserie and and back burner. Although, I hardly ever use it because I mostly cook on my Weber Charcoal grill with lump wood charcoal because if you are going to grill, do it right.

We all know you pay people to do your grilling for you.

The rear infrared burner is apparently for rotisserie cooking. If your model did not come with the rotisserie kit you can order it here.
Looks like HN is exactly right and you would only use that back burner in conjunction with the rotisserie kit. That could be a really cool way to cook I think and look forward to hearing how it works out. @ticket2ride04 or @UNC '92 may have some thoughts on the subject.

Just need to get the motor and rotisserie bar

I don’t anything in the pic that is vertical

Can we agree that the grates are horizontal, which is to say parallel to the ground? If so, please tell me the angle of the panel (where the rear burner is located) which is perpendicular to the grates?

So you are telling me that the mesh screen on the back which is over the front of the rear burner is horizontal?

This may be the second best (read: most pointless) argument of the month on OOTB. Both of you please continue to make your case. We're probably going to need some background documentation and outside counsel to really settle this.

What's the best? I missed it.

Looks like a nice setup hope you enjoy it.

It is- we are enjoying it quite a bit.

Now back to the question at hand- do you agree that the rear burner is behind the vertical panel?

If I could jump in, yes, the rear panel is perpendicular to the grates and is vertical. The burner itself is not vertical; it's oriented parallel to the ground, just like the other burners, only a few inches higher.

All of which is secondary to the main question - When the h3ll are you gonna quit yappin and cook us something already?

Leave me out of this because I have no idea what you are calling a vertical panel.

If you wanted out of this, then why jump in to begin with? I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that I'm pretty sure others know exactly to which piece I am referring.

See @JuleZ '02 HEEL - I'm trying my best here. I think its gonna be a dud though.

I’ll go out on another limb and say a certain poster went out and bought something that he has no idea how to use
