Are our posters who live in SC OK?

Not a drop of rain so far today, although the sky is gray. And I'm only about 2 hours south of Charleston....crazy how we were spared. Even played 9 holes of golf yesterday morning w/ my buddies before the rain set in for about 3-4 hours. Ground saturated, but no major flooding here in Hilton Head.

News reports say it is the kind of flood in parts of SC you see only once every 1000 years. I've made the drive between Georgetown and Charleston several times, and reportedly that entire area is flooded badly.

Palmetto State is suffering.

I had no problem at all but many not far from me did. I was told downtown there was a spot where the water was so high it nearly touched stop lights, that is amazing. A issue moving forward is we have a lot of sink holes here because the under lying ground is not so solid, lots of fill dirt used here. Now with the saturation, we are expecting an increase in these. Of course the bridges are a problem, very old bridges that have been in need of repair and now maybe replacement.

Hate that so many lost so much in all of this but at the same time, employment has been a major concern in this area for an extended period. Cleaning up and rebuilding here will at least boost that, if I could point to a glimmer of light at the end of this dark time.
