Aussie Expected To Add To Kentucky Recruits...

Wow, that's huge surprise. A great get for Kentucky though I hope Humphries won't get buried behind Skal.

We have a scholly for Humphries and one left for the potential addition of Wynward at mid season.
Yes, playing time could be a problem, however both big man additions are looked upon as role play space eaters at the present and rotation players in year 2 and 3. Don't think we will see the "patoon" again.

Cal, like Roy has about 18/20 offers out there (or rumored). Guess both are just playing it safe.

Word is Cal is worried about Skal's eligibility of which he denies but he was also positive Enes Canter or Kanter would be cleared and we know how that turned out. WWW's reach extends to Turkey , Australia and places in between.

The rumor does exist. However, it seem to be more of a high school transfer disqualification than anything else.
But, you can bet the NCAA will be all over it instead of looking into more major issues.

The D Rose issue always come to mind along with Kanter.

Kentucky beat out New Mexico for Humphries.....bet the relationship does not last ling!!!

We have to talk about other teams recruits because of this sanction crap, sux 2 recruits that are related to former players and Kenny Williams a former player for Smart.... Damn will we ever get another actual recruited player or do we have to wait for little brothers and children of former players to get old enough?

According to 247, he had offers from KU and WSU......I think all majors look at
him as a space eater, good practice player, fill a role against a heavy weight opponent,
hope to coach him up to a rotation player. UK has had (even under Cal) several
JRs and SRs to contribute, .......Miller, Harrellson, Pothress and Lee this year. (I hope)

Hmmm. Kid was all tournament five at the U17 worlds ahead of a lot of the U.S. Kids. Calling him a space eater is like buying an F500 pickup to take the kids to school.

He will not be in a 8 man rotation at UK (barring injuries to other front line players).
Will play in a match up role against similar post players or when too many whistles are blown.

Would be the same at KU. I know he can ball, but we're talking 'bout a top 3/5 team in UK.

We don't have many bigs this year, We have Skal and Lee.
Poy is going to be moved inside to the 4 away from the 3 so that should help him out a good deal to his more natural position. But he is also not back from his ACL tear.

We are really thin in our front court and I think a team that has a lot of bigs could easily exploit that by drawing some fouls on Skal or Lee. You guys and especially KU have a lot of bigs and would dominate us on the inside. We would have to adjust our game plan to go smaller and push the ball to negate the bigs and take advantage of our guard play.
