I am on the unpopular end when it comes to Lavar Ball, but I can take that. I do have a serious question. Why would this not be a NCAA violation for the two younger Ball brothers, because wouldn't they be profiting off basketball? If Lavar's company is getting the money and not giving to boys would that not be exploitation?

Again I have zero problem with Lavar being an entrepreneur, although not a fan of him acting like a "clown" either.

I just wanted to know if a reality show was a NCAA violation?

It would become one if there was any connection to UNC!

I support Ball's right to try to capitalize on anything he wants, BUT I am embarrassed that he has to dance a jig to make his money!

Same here.
The media and society as a whole wanted to tear down the Williams sisters dad for his bold statements and arrogance, but we see how it turned out for those young ladies.

He goes overboard a lot, but sometimes he entertaining to me. He basically just uses the media at their own game. The media can say dumb and ridiculous things and profit, why can't he.

I don't think it's a violation because he always had a relationship with the kids. I could be wrong tho. If we see more parents like him, blame the media for entertaining him.

I think if Lavar partners with some experienced business people his entrepreneurial ideas could do well, but the LavarBall "clown act" will not do well at the professional level.

In HS and College we as fans were more shocked by his act, and gave him attention. In the NBA they will just turn the mic off because the players offer more entertainment as far as being "brash". Nobody in the NBA cares about somebody's daddy, because the players can speak for themselves.

I understand your point, but that remains to be seem by the media. They interviewed him twice doing the NBA Draft. Not to mentioned, his son went to the Lakers. They secretly love the press he generates on his own IMO. It will make people tune in, to a franchise that hasn't been too great as of late.

They are doing all they can to re-create the Showtime Era. Already got Magic back on board and now they have drafted a potential star with a great deal of media presence (mostly due to his clownish pops). They are really courting celebrities to come back to court-side too! All this attention is exactly what the NBA craves! They will embrace him like WWE did!

Players on other teams don't seem to be embracing it. How the other players respond to him on the court will be the real story.
