Y'all have a nice day...

Mueller will erase the eraser and the entire Trump crime family.

America first, not China and certainly not Russia.

Have a better day.

Maybe...but by that time Barry's only noteworthy accomplishment will be the fact his liberal agenda led us to Trump.

And I'm loving the "America First" theme...Trump is rubbing off on you my brotha!

Absolutely nothing from 45 is rubbing off on me, I've always been an America first guy. It's how I roll, my brotha!

45 has the problem, with him it's 45 first, then maybe the USA.

The now infamous Trump Tower meeting on June 9, 2016 where 45 and family lied to America telling us all that the meeting was about Russian baby adoption, is one of the centerpieces of the Special Prosecutor Mueller's investigation. Why lie about something, if, you have nothing to hide . . ?

If, this scandal had happened on Barry's watch, this entire board's republican cast would be up in arms.

I personally can't wait for Bobby 3-sticks report to come out. Will Kushner and Don Jr. be indicted . . ? There are a few folks in the WH that believe it will happen. Kushner is such a lying deceiving fool that he can't even get a top security clearance because he's given false or incomplete paperwork on his SF-86 security form numerous times, his financial situation is another black eye.

We're all going to have a better day, and hopefully soon.

Yea, well good luck with all that. He's doing what I voted for him to do and just as long as Trump keeps using that eraser I'm happy. I imagine a lot of folks are.

Manafort's lawyers thought they could get a charge thrown out due to statute of limitations. LOL

But Mueller was a few hundred steps ahead of them . . . In June 2017 he anticipated the problem and got a secret court order to SUSPEND the statute on that charge, on the grounds that much of the information he needed was still in a foreign country.

It is always so heartening to see Mueller dotting his i's and crossing his t's.

Mueller's full court filing is at the link.

https://talkingpointsmemo.com/muckr...ret-order-foreign-bank-statute-of-limitations

Because investigators were relying on a foreign government to produce certain evidence, Mueller last June asked a magistrate judge in Virginia to suspend the statute of limitations on the charge that Manafort failed to to file a Foreign Bank Account Report (FBAR), according to the filing. Mueller ultimately brought that charge against Manafort in February. The judge’s decision granting Mueller’s request to suspend the statute of limitations was previously under seal, but was included in Monday’s filings.

The revelation came in a response to Manafort’s motion to dismiss the FBAR charge in the Eastern District of Virginia, where he is also facing tax fraud and bank fraud charges. That case is in addition to the one brought in Washington, D.C., where Manafort has been charged with money laundering and failure to disclose foreign lobbying.

Because the statute of limitations was set to run out on June 29 — five years after the June 29, 2012 deadline Manafort would have faced to file the foreign bank report with the U.S. Treasury — prosecutors on June 26 came to Judge Claude M. Hilton with their request, which was filed ex parte, meaning only the government’s side was aware of it, and not Manafort.

Have a nice day, Paulie . .

I know the rich got richer with his Tax reform, and 45 will greatly benefit from it.

Remember what I said earlier, it's 45 first, America second . .

Well, that's what I voted for so I'm happy, happy!

Got a decent little raise and the satisfaction of knowing the libs hated it.

S'all good!

HIGH FIVE

I haven't heard a peep from BLM in some time. Illegal immigration is down significantly. Black people are prospering. Women are prospering.

I just sold one of my rental properties on the first day of listing. Got $5k over ask price with no seller subsidy/concessions. I’m happy with the economy at the moment, but I think it’s all short term. Interest rates will go up and housing values will fall. By how much remains to be seen. If the tax reform kick starts the GDP growth needed to offset the deficits it has ballooned, we’ll be ok. If not, hello recession.

Yeah, I'm content with the economy right now.

But I loved Trump's harsh rhetoric on immigration. It's probably what I liked most about him initially. And he's delivered. The travel ban needed to happen. And his continuing to beat the drum for the wall has cut down on our neighbors from the south crossing illegally. I do recognize that the wall will probably never be built and I'm ok with that. But I like that he's still pushing it.

His overall demeanor, while childish and buffoon-like at times, is what we needed. There's always a bigger message in Trump's actions and remarks even if he doesn't always know it. He's resurrected some social mores and constructs that I think are generally good for society as a whole.

Like any President, he gets too much credit from his supporters and too much ire from his detractors. I think the Russia narrative is silly, but he stumbled into that by firing Comey. He’s a brawler though, so he’s gonna keep fighting.

I like some of the pressure he’s put on Congress and while I’m for tough immigration laws, I do want amnesty for the dreamers and others who have proven to be valuable to our society. Hispanic immigrants are a vital part of our economy and we need the ones who have been here, to stay here.

Unfortunately, Trump has delivered on his trade rhetoric, which I find to be one of the most disconcerting platform he campaigned on. That’s playing with fire and I hope cooler heads prevail.

Tax reform was just ok. It could have been much, much better but it was pushed through for a political win.

No president is really going to impress me until the trio of SS, Medicare, and Defense spending is at least addressed.

They released the congressional transcripts today. So far there isn't any new revelations. Everyone agrees the original purpose was to get info on Clinton, but it was just a cover for the lawyer to talk about Russian babies.

Say what now?

Social mores - guiding norms or principles that societies/communities subscribe to.

For instance - police are good and here to keep us all safe. Thank police officers when you see them. Kids, grow up to be police officers because it is noble and good.

Another example - the American flag (Pledge of Allegiance, National Anthem, etc) is to be respected and revered. It stands for freedom and against tyranny. It is good and right to be patriotic and to hold America in the highest regard and to put America before all else. Saluting and respecting the flag shows that you believe this.

Last example - there are differences in males and females. Neither is better or worse, but they are indeed different. There is no "in between" and we as a society function best when we all understand there is difference between man and woman. In addition, traditional gender roles are not bad. You don't have to subscribe to them but don't interfere with the masses believing in them.

All in all, Trump has sent a message - purposely or not (irrelevant to me) - that "this is who we are, and it's who we have always been and what's made us the best country in the world.

And I thought I was old and white. Who are you Clint in Grand Torino?

I read this and it sounds like you want go back to the 50's where

Police were good because we didn't have to hear about them framing or murdering those people because, well, those people.
People saluted the flag cuz if they didn't they were GD commies and we put them on a list.
Women knew their place. They obeyed their man and if we let them work they surely didn't bitch about their pay or the occasional grope from a co-worker.

This is who we were, and we were the best. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't be and get better. You may not feel like we are the best now, but it's not because we got worse, it's because other countries got better.

I'm not sure that it's the other countries getting better. Most Americans don't care, or have any clue, about what other cultures are doing.

The Trump Wave has definitely empowered the last vestige of Old White Guy that is losing his place in society, slowly but surely. Some of us welcome and embrace the change that has inevitably come. Others resist it and show just how strong their prejudice is and how much they refuse to let it go. It's a little bit like the Germans and The Battle Of The Bulge.

Jingoism and white patriarchal society had its time. It got us where we are now, so it can't be all bad.

ETA: Eastwood in Gran Torino was an awesome example.

See, your response and thoughts - to me - are the biggest problem.

Sure, a fraction of police officers are bad. But the overwhelming majority of them are just as I described and that’s the message that should be sent throughout our society. If we mix the message (“some cops are good and some cops are bad. You really need to be careful when dealing with them.”), that message is heard by the masses as “cops are not here to help me”. What that does is weaken their authority and allow for more criminal behavior.

The same holds true for the other two rebuttals you poasted.

So now we are stuck at you're the problem, no, you're the problem.

If you don't mix the message then the white masses hear "all cops are good" and the rest hear "FU - good luck with the cops".

By mixing the message I still think plenty of masses still think "cops are good" cuz bad cops it ain't messing with them or theirs. At least the rest can have some hope that things will change.

Violent crime has been near a 40 year low for the last 6 or 7 years. I don't think the message is causing a problem.

I think we need to mix the message, because it's the truth. Some cops are good, and others are bad. Cops certainly aren't there to help anyone. They're there to get a paycheck. Which, I can certainly respect, but let's not kids ourselves, the paycheck is #1 and the helping others is somewhere lower on the list (if there at all).

I also feel similarly about the military. I have a ton of respect for what they do (I don't have the stones to do half of it), but again let's not kid ourselves, 95% of them are there for a paycheck (and the subsequent benefits). Sure, there are probably 5% or so that truly want to defend their country and would do it for free - but they're the minority.

(just for the record my father was both a cop and in the military)

That might be more long winded than it needed to be, but I wanted to clarify that my rationale for mixing the message was sound, and not complete garbage like this:

Better rationale but I’m buying it the same as I’m buying the weird Canadian fellow’s story. Which is “not at all”.

By the rationale you’re using, should we teach kids that teachers aren’t there to actually help kids learn? I mean, they’re just there for the paycheck. Doctors too. I mean, now there’s a paycheck to work for. Forget all that saving lives garbage. Why stop there? Researches couldn’t possibly get off on the idea of curing worldwide diseases. They’re just there for the dough.
