Baylor had a large rushing total, but not much better stats re: yards per rush than UNC. UNC hung close to 250 (244) on the ground, and close to 250 (243) in the air. Take away Jefferson's 80 yard rush after Logan's fumble, and they were almost identical rush averages, Baylor would be at 6.8 yards per carry. The volume of carries (84) was a big factor in the huge rushing total. I would be interested in knowing the second highest number of rushes in a game. The game plan wasn't as bad as it felt. If Logan punched that one in. . . or just a few plays broke differently, UNC could have won this game.
