1) I have started cooking homemade meals on a weeknight again
2) My teen daughter tells me she is happy to see me (I know, shocking)
3) Working less than 80 hours a week
4) More time to go to UNC and see FB and BB games in person

feel free to add to the list :)

Congrats 'peke! That's a great accomplishment to have. Somewhere on that list should be a party for you!

Congratulation, you should feel proud.

Congrats. I'd like to go through grad school someday, but man, I can't imagine going through college again, especially on top of a full time job, and I'm not even married or have kids. I don't know you do it, or at least keep your sanity. Maybe you didn't keep it - haha.

Nice pay increase for me plus every nine hours of grad classes after my masters another raise.

I have done it twice. The first time, I went back for my accounting degree/ CPA license - married and no kids. It was 3 hard hears but doable. Now this masters degree while having a kid and owning my own CPA firm... was EXHAUSTING but in the end worth it. I don't even know how I did everything that I did do. Crazy hua.

Master of Entrepreneurship from Western Carolina University. I was going to get a Masters degree from UNC until I learned it would run me $100,000 plus books for the 2 year program. Yep, didnt happen.

So you want to be an entrepreneur? Boy do I have a deal for you......

Well, what can I say?:D

You might be a CPA if you think there are 5 seasons, the extra one being tax season.

The online MBA with a concentration in Entrepreneurship?

Yeah, that's ridiculously expensive. The EMBA is also very costly.

I looked into the online MBA program at UNC - it was $100,000 before bookso_O I needed something where I could continue to work full time and be a mom/wife/girl scout leader. I checked many brick and mortar schools with night /weekend or online classes. The program at WCU was very affordable, was online, yet I still got to meet many of my professors as Cullowhee was only 1 hour away. I would have loved UNC but I could not acquire that kind of debt. I will be paying for undergrad for my daughter soon enough.

That sounds like the EMBA, though both are offered online, or maybe the MBA with a concentration in Entrepreneurship is part of the EMBA. I don't know. I went to the the info session for the EMBA and was really interested until I learned how much it would cost.

Anyways. Congratulations. I'm sure it took a lot of hard work and commitment. And you already run a CPA firm - very impressive!

my degree is an "ME" degree - Master of Entrepreneurship offered through the Business School (which also offers an MBA). I didn't go for the MBA as it was classes I took as an undergrad plus all those classes required night school.

Yeah, I was talking about the Masters programs at UNC. I think we looked into the same one and had similar reactions - too expensive.
