Best and Worst Band: The letter G

Nominate your choices for best and worst bands/musicians beginning with the letter G.

I'm struggling with this one.

For my favorites I'd consider going with Goo Goo Dolls and Green Day, but I have to put an asterisk on it to just the first album for each. The rest of their work I can take it or leave it, and some of it's crap. Grateful Dead probably belongs here but it's never really been my bag.

Worst: Peter Gabriel, Selena Gomez, Godsmack

Same here JuleZ... I can't think of many "G" bands/artists either, but I'll go with:

Best: Genesis, and the Gorillaz

Worst: Leif Garrett

Well this won't be much of an argument but here goes: I absolutely have no use for the dirty hippie culture that is synonymous with the GD, and 10 years ago I would have had them in my WORST list of all-time without a doubt. However, I've grown to like a few of their songs over the last few years. So while I'm not a "fan" per se, and I wouldn't search up thier musc to specifically listen to them, I can listen to some of their tunes when they come up in a music app without always having to skip to the next song.
