I always found it funny that they got recognition after Perl Jam even though it was released before Pearl Jam. The record company had an album that was basically made by a combination of Soundgarden and Pearl Jam. They were a super group before they were a super group.

Nice. I was wondering if you or Blue would mention him. I don't love him and he wouldn't make my "best" list. But I appreciate that he's a bit different. He has a different cadence to his rhymes and a unique sound. "Dysfunctional" and "What Do I Catch" are my faves.

I'm not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing that you thought I might mention him.

I'm clearly the board's hip hop aficionado along with the seldom seen @chickenhunter. The rest of you girls are pumping the likes of Wacky D and thinking you're listening to rap music (points if you know the Wacky D reference).

It's been determined, based on your answers in these threads, that you shouldn't have the right to talk about any music. Too many fails on your part.

Stop it. Just because I like meditating to Echo And The Bunnymen doesn't mean I'm not the board's foremost authority on good rap music.

GREAT call on Tool. Love that band.
They put out a lot of good songs, but I think their albums as a whole aren't that great. The way they lay it out and some of the songs they include just don't work in my opinion. I've never heard a Tool album that I would consistently play all the way through. There are always some throw away songs.

Best:
Ted Leo & The Pharmacists
Toto (Bobby Kimball era)

HM:
Tears for Fears

Worst:
@coryfly and I have been on the same page lately...another vote for Train. How can a band so utterly inoffensive be so difficult to listen to?

Toto gave us one of the great karaoke songs of all time with Africa
