Sorry, most of you won't appreciate this thread but just wanted to give a shout out to the poster in this board that coaches at Bowling Green high school in Kentucky.
I can't remember the screen name of the person but Bowling Green just won their regional championship tonight and have earned a ticket to play in the Sweet 16 state tournament at Rupp Arena.
The thing that separates the KY high school state tournament and makes it really special is that all classes of schools play in one tournament. There is not a separate state tournament for each of the 6 classes in the state. Kentucky is one of the few in the nation that does it this way and it makes advancing to the state tournament (or winning it) that much more special. This creates scenarios where you may literally have a small mountain school from the mountains of eastern Kentucky with a total enrollment of 300 students play against Lexington or Louisville schools with enrollment pushing 2500.
