It's bad enough that Hubert refuses to run set plays down the stretch when even 1 basket or 1 free throw could have won us the game. But during our multiple timeouts to draw up potential game winners, it's Brad Frederick using the white board to draw up those amazing plays we just saw. This is a guy that Roy brought in to be Director of Basketball Ops, and now he's the guy drawing up the plays that decides our fate.

Practice what you value as important. You should know sets and okays for end of game at the level of a program like UNC. It’s comical we can’t even get the ball inbounds.
You line the players up and it becomes super easy to get the ball in, because defenders don't know which way a player will cut.
You spread the floor and it becomes very easy to faceguard.
You make your only big inbound the ball, and you don't have him available to screen or to roll to the rim for a lob.
The hero ball plays were bad enough. But that last inbound play was horrific.
We ran the incessant top of the key screen and roll, with Bacot/then Nance in the end, so often Alabama figured it out and had help on the driver and contested at the rim. This one trick pony offense became an embarrassment in real time. We had several possessions tonight where Puff and Nance both were literally scared of the ball. They were running in the half court to get the ball out of their hands into RJ/or Calebs.
Hubert has to take control and integrate Nance into the half court offense. Same issues last season with Manek. Last years team and Hubert figured it out(we got better execution/shot selection) but we had to play late into the season to get there.
Hubert does not have an offensive system, he has a couple sets. Now that he has seen failed "live action" he will slowly introduce options for Nance to get shots(just like Manek). The only way this team gets deep into the tourney is with a consistent Nance. He took 4 shots tonight, Caleb 36, RJ 24. This team screams for guidance.
