You got Luke Maye's stats? Then if we can find a way to pin it on the Duke board along side Giles. LOL

Bradley reminded me even more of Brad Daugherty after he hit that 17' shot from the elbow
Look forward to watching him impact the ACC and NCAAT runs this year

And hopefully next season or two...
Tony is going to be very good, he fit his slot, we should be dang glad to have him as a Heel. As opposed to a kid at another school, as '58 said, if he had been at our place UNC would get the blame and a dirth of bigs would ensue.

I do think most people recognize that Giles hasn't had the year he was expected to have largely due to injury, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't laugh when the students chanted overrated at him on Saturday. He's still gonna be a first rounder if he left today, not sure we can say that with the other two. I think Tony will be a first rounder if he leaves next year, he'll be the go-to inside guy next year. Yurtseven will probably never be a first round pick

Remind me again why the bigs go to Duke.

The formula for dook getting bigs has been a working for quite a while
  1. Dook offers a player under 6'8. Usually a Guard
  2. Guard has been heavily favored for Dook since 8th grade
  3. Guard has a "best buddy", just so happens to be 6'10 or taller, top 10 recruit, and is thinking about teaming up in college
  4. Guard and Big: "Yeah, we're not sure just yet. We're both gonna do what's best for us"
  5. Big has bunches of offers. Visits many of them. Lots of schools making the big a priority.
  6. Big keeps cutting down his list, stringing other schools along. Guard already 100% to Dook in most people's eyes.
  7. Guard and Big: "JK, We're teaming up. We knew all along btw. Thanks for wasting your time recruiting us, other schools!"
  8. Rinse and Repeat.
Worked with Jones/Okafor. Worked with Tatum/Giles. Pretty much worked with Trent Jr/Carter Jr.

I hafta admit (since I posted it here at the time) that I was never sold on Jeter's game, and honestly didn't even like the fact Roy offered him, but I can flat guarantee that if he had come here Roy and staff would've made at least a decent player out of him, and his butt wouldn't have as many splinters in it right about now.

Bigs career after that move.....

toilet+with+mouth.jpg

puke is the mythical Bigs' graveyard! Some go to worship the massive bones of crushed potential and shattered hopes! Some go to find out what happened to the peeps they worshiped! Some accidentally stumble across evidence of the tragedy and reflect on the impact of bad decisions! Yet the Bigs continue to line up head to tail and march toward their place of rest, hoping to be the Okafor or Parker that somehow managed to escape!

Duke currently has 7 "big men" in the NBA. (Okafor, Thomas, Plumlee x 3, McRoberts, Kelly) while UNC currently has 6 "big men" in the NBA. (Henson, Zellar, Davis, Wright, McAdoo, and Williams).

So it seems that career wise, Duke is at least on par with UNC in regards to big men career success. If you want to argue "college success" I would certainly give UNC the edge and agree with you guys that Coach K should have played/developed Bolden/Giles/DeLauier more. Jeter was hurt half the season, but played a lot the first half of the season.
