Bigger arenas mean louder crowds but the number one reason is no wall behind the glass backboard. Really affects your depth perception. I remember shooting on an NBA court for the first time and it was like I was playing a different sport.

Yep. It even affects college guys when they play in the FF at large arenas like the Super Dome. The dimensions take a little bit to get use to.
