She was one of the top R&B acts of the early 2000s. She did a video with Jay-Z back in the day where they both wore the interlocking NC jerseys (she was kind of a trendsetter in making bball jerseys into minidresses.) She had a concert in Charlotte a few nights back where she wore the UNC jersey/dress pictured in the OP. She's still all types of fine.

Well, seeing that Jay was most popular a decade or two ago, I'd say my age aligns perfectly. And I didn't say he was sh*t. He's got some bangers. He's just overrated. Some say he's the GOAT. Nah. I'd have Biggie, Pac, Nas, Reggie, Rakim, Andre and maybe a few more ahead of him.

I'm not sure it's as hot as you think. There's a lot of people who agree with you.

Maybe not the hottest take. But Billboard ranked him as the best rapper of all time and he's generally in everyone's top 5. Not mine.

Who the heck knew that Rappers Delight would give birth to this thing they call today's "music"? I may sound like my mom & dad did about my Rock music, in fact I am sure I do. They get smarter the older I get, hard for me to understand that? LOL
