I like what he's doing on camera. Hopefully they realize it and keep him around. Good job big fella.
Brendan picking UK or UCLA is no different than Bilas picking us to win it all.
Maybe he's doing the reverse psychology thing; trying to jinx the Bruins? We can hope. That's assuming Brendan is as good an analyst as Jay. I can't stand dukies as much (maybe more) than most Tar Heels, but Jay HAS picked against us before - using logic and reasoning. Not the BS Brendan is spitting.
I think you're overreacting. I think Brandon will do well. I don't expect him to pick the Heels just because he's an alumnus, that's not his job. That's assuming Brendan is as good an analyst as Jay. Just because someone picks against the Heels doesn't make him a hack. I think Brendon is doing a great job. He is articulate, funny and prepared. Question? What if that was Tyler Hansbrough, would you call him a hack?I disagree, he is a hack. I don't give-a-rip that he was a Heel, played in the NBA, and is now an "analyst" paid to give his opinion. Well, his opinion blows.
Last year, he picks against the Heels (he favored kensucky) citing "I have to go with what my eyes tell me". This year, he is on the UCLA bandwagon against the Heels saying "My heart says take UNC, but my head says take UCLA". I think he has sold out to seem unbiased.
I mentioned this last year on this board; and well... some people respectfully disagreed. Needless to say, I'm not hoping he does well as an "analyst" in his picks against the Tar Heels.
