How would that team do in the NBA, or Eurpope, or Australia, or wherever?

I tend not to follow our guys when they leave, unless they are doing well enough to make the news. So I'll leave it to others to come up with the players who are still active.

There are 11 UNC basketball alumni currently playing in the NBA as well as 18 in the NBA G-League or overseas. NBA guys are:

Cole Anthony
Coby White
Harrison Barnes
Tony Bradley
Reggie Bullock
Justin Jackson
Cam Johnson
Nassir Little
Theo Pinson
Day’Ron Sharpe
Danny Green (injured)

I don’t watch enough NBA, so correct me if I’m wrong but I’m not sure an NBA team of those guys can finish .500 in the league.

I will take this squad over current Charlotte Hornets, but no this is not a .500 team in the NBA.

Yes Cam is about to get paid!

I do not think I have watched a full nba game since Jordan retired. I have tried but it’s just not entertaining to me. Too much isolation and dribbling and too much emphasis on the 3. And as I write that I realize I am describing the Heels for at least half of every game

UNC will always be my team, no matter what league or level we are talking about. With that being said I do look at the NBA.

24 second time clock doesn't allow for over passing in the NBA, so yes you see more guys go for there's when they get the ball. That is why Caleb love has a real shot at being okay in the league, he knows how to get a shot off.

NBA gets bad rap on defense. Any guard that plays in the NBA can blow pass there man. There is not one man alive that can keep Kyrie Irving in front of them. As far as team defense, the teams that do it well are better than those that don't.

Cam Johnson is currently the best NBA player on this list, and probably the last if we ranked UNC players from there college era.

Cole Anthony is a solid NBA PG, and will be an all-star one day

Colby White, I think Zach Lavine stumped Colby's personal growth, along with the fact he is an undersized shooting guard to be honest. I would like to see Colby on another team

Day'ron Sharpe is young, but had crazy NBA upside

Nassir Little- he feels like the same player he was at UNC. His body and defense should help him stay in the league for awhile

Harrison Barnes - what can you say, he got his payday and has good height for a wing, other than that he shows up in the box score once a month, and it makes you remember him

Reggie Bullock - 6'7 guy who shoots the three probably close to 40 percent, and is a solid defender. He is a product of today's NBA three point shooting.

I wonder if more people would follow the NBA if UNC had more success in the NBA. Would love some NBA equity. We haven't had an NBA all star since Vince Carter.

I can't see Cole Anthony being an all-star. That position is simply too loaded. He's probably destined to be a 6th man scorer. I don't think he's a starter on a good team.

Your take on hb is so wrong.

UNC’ representation in the NBA is a flow-on effect from the hardships Roy had on the recruiting trail about a decade ago.

That said, in the midst of those recruiting woes he still built the team who went to the championship game in ‘16 and won it all in ‘17.

The top player from those teams, Justin Jackson is a little used reserve while Theo Pinson is the highest paid cheerleader in Dallas. Joel Berry is retired and Isaiah Hicks, Luke Maye and Kennedy Meeks are ‘Passport Professionals’

In hindsight, college success isn’t always reliant on NBA elite talent.. especially at UNC.

But the days of UNC all-star representation was nice.
