Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington died by hanging himself today. Man their music got me through some tough times in high school. RIP.
Didn't they just release a new album or something like a month ago?
It was released at the end of May. Haven't heard anything off of it though. I haven't been a fan of their newer stuff.Didn't they just release a new album or something like a month ago?

It's not that crazy. Listen to the lyrics. These frontmen (the ones who write their own stuff anyway) aren't just pulling these emotions from out of thin air. Lots of them, despite the fame and success, have tons of inner demons. That's why they produce such good music. It's crazy how many lead singers from rock bands die from an OD or kill themselves. Hopefully this brings more attention to mental health so something good can come from it.
What's good in High Point, fam? I was at the Sheetz on Comanche and Tarheel [sic] the other day.Nor have I. Wish we could take it back to Hybrid Theory. That shit was GOLD.

There is a Sheetz on Westchester at Lexington, and there is a Sheetz down on South Main near Blair Park and Business 85, and there is the newest Sheetz on North Main near Skeet Club, but what's this talk about a Sheetz at Comanche and Tarheel [sic]?
You are lost.
There are plenty of musicians that write dark lyrics outside of rock and use drugs outside of rock. You don't see them killing themselves or dying from an OD at the same rate. At least it seems that way. Writing that stuff down can actually help with depression. I have someone close to me who has some mental health issues and tried to kill herself once. One of the things her doctor recommended was to keep a journal of how she was feeling. It's not that crazy. Listen to the lyrics. Oh. The exit sign said High Point.Believe you were in Archdale which is High Point's ugly cousin. Not 15 minutes from my casa tho.

Yeah it was a sight. Saw a shirtless guy in line inside (but he still had his motorcycle helmet on for safety!), a jacked up POS pickup with a Rebel battle flag, and one insanely large human being. It was like a game of redneck bingo.
I felt at home, of course.
What? No 'Given Up'? One of the heaviest songs they had, and fits perfectly the situation.
