Well, getting to see Cam play his first game for UNC and play pretty well was about the lone bright spot for me last night.

It'll be interesting to see how many minutes he gets moving forward and who loses those minutes.

Not sure Cam was ready to get the minutes he got and not sure his insertion didn't muck up the chemistry .. not that there was much of anything that resembled chemistry anywhere in that game from our side. Roy can legitimately take a bit of the heat for this one but UNC did not come to play last night. They were slow, unfocused, had zero intensity and should be thoroughly ashamed of that game from tip to final buzzer. Don't know that I've ever seen a UNC bball team play that badly for 40 minutes. jmho

At a glance, it looks like Cam's minutes came mostly from Theo and Sterling in last night's game.

Roy previously indicated that a good chunk would come from Theo and Kenny - to keep them from paying too many minutes.

IMHO ....Theo should sit a few games ..... he brings little and cost us dearly last nite .... will Roy shake up the lineup Sat v. OSU?

No, he won't shake up the lineup but if Theo craps the bed as bad as last night he will lose minutes to Cam moving forward.

Talk about a knee jerk reaction. Theo had 7/9/8 against Tennessee. He’s averaging 9/5/5 for the season. Yes, he needs to be more conscious of To’s(2.6 PG), but he’s doing a lot of our playmaking. The whole team needs to value the ball more, not just Theo, as our 216/160 ratio attests.

Theo is one of our most invaluable players. No way Coach sits him.

From Roy's mouth at his post game, 17mins was much more than he wanted to play him, he wanted to get him 8-10, said the kid was extremely winded and it showed in his play.

Yeah, I think Roy would be and has said that this was not his finest coaching display when it comes to his decisions on lineups in the game. But I suspect a part of it was Roy maybe putting some guys in very difficult situations to see if they could fight their way thru them now when the stakes are minimal. When you have BRob at the 4 going against a 265lbs power forward ya have to chuckle a little bit.

Tell me what Theo did v. Wofford? Tell me what he brings to the teams effort? I like Theo, but he doesnt have a shot and l see his contribution as minimal.

What exactly makes him so invaluable as you say?

You are blind then! We don't win it all without him last year, & in fact don't even make it to the FF w/out him. Do you think he's gotten worse since then?

Really, what does he do thats so great? I remember him putting up several long bricks v. Wofford that l thought really hurt us. If he cant make the shots, l think Roy should sit him until he finds his shot!

I'm just going to let you know you are in the minority, a large minority, & we are going to agree to disagree. Well at least I am.

Neither the minority nor the majority coach this team ... lets see what Coach does tomorrow ... OK?

Care to place a wager about whether or not Theo starts tomorrow. I'll give you 10-1 odds that he does. Step away from the ledge man. This team is going to have a few WTF losses, that's what happens when you lose almost your whole front line and try to integrate 3 freshman bigs.

B TW ... theres a good discussion @ Theo on another board ... check it out, you might learn something!

Theo is a terrific member of our team. Sometimes he isn't as good as we think she should and could be, so we get down on him.

For his sake and ours, we want him to be better. Better for us because he's fun to watch when everything is clicking, and we win more games. Better for him because if he could deliver reliably and shoot better, he could have a shot at the NBA.

As it stands now, Theo will play for pay, but probably not in the NBA. That's sad for him. But he's still a fine college player who, like all of them, has off games.

I'll enjoy watching him play his final year. And, yes, I'll bitch about him when he has a off game.

That said, I don't really know why he was this bad in this game. And it hurts when several other guys take the same game off.

Roy loves glue guys like Theo. Jackie Manuel and David Noel come to mind. Neither were shooters/scorers but could lock down on D and were big pieces on good teams.

Don't think Theo is going to be making a living playing Bball but that's just me. Maybe overseas somewhere.
