I thought it was obvious toward the middle of the 2nd half we gassed out FSU. They were starting to wear down and we kept pushing the ball. Even when they'd hit a 3, some were very 'lucky' but they were obviously worn out. Cudos to Jonas!

Agreed 100% we looks and act very fit! This will be an even bigger asset as the season wears on

Yeah this is a really good point that not enough people bring up.

This is also because we go 8-9 deep. Kenny Williams played real crunch time minutes last night to give some of our perimeter guys a break to keep them fresh. I remember a thread earlier with someone complaining about us playing too many guys, this is why we do it.

The bench will shrink in March when those 5 minute TV timeouts really begin to kick in, but for now, play them all.

Having Kennedy back will give us even more depth. And we need frontcourt depth because Isaiah and Brice are both prone to picking up cheap fouls. Staying healthy is my biggest concern for this team's chance to win it all.

100% true... and they aren't the only bunch we've gassed. And look how hard JB, Marcus and JJ are flat gettin' after it on the defensive end in often high volumes of minutes. That ain't happening by accident.

I often hear about how UNC players are better conditioned than other teams, but isn't it really our depth and substitution patterns which keeps them fresh throughout the game? Every team has a strength and conditioning coach and I think Jonas does a fantastic job with our athletes, but is he really heads and shoulders above other S&C coaches?

No disrespect to Jonas, but I just don't buy that UNC team's conditioning is significantly better than other teams.

Fair enough, if you believe that. Then the credit goes to Roy (recruiting) because I haven't seen any 'tired' players on the court all year; other than FSU and many other opponents this year.
