I think he's getting some credit for the Mannings in that ranking - though not sure it's relevant.

He's done about the same as Fed over the last 6 years. 1 good year, 1 bad year, averaging just over 7 wins a year. Not sure they've had as much talent as we have and I think their OOC has been a little easier.

I'd say 2016 was good (acc was toughest conf in the country) and 2015 was great.

I could see that blazers. For me beating Baylor and going 12-2 in 15 would have been great. And 16 was a disappointment for me given the talent we had on offense. Should have won 10 or more games IMO. But 8-5 could be a good year depending on the schedule and our talent.

You've got some pretty high expectations, if 11 straight wins while finishing 15th nationally in the polls wasn't "great".

I do blazers but I don't think results exceed expectations very often. I will say 15 was a good, almost great year (maybe great for UNC football). Reasons being: we lost the first game of the year to a team that wasn't very good (and it was a national game), we lost the last game of the year (was close but we got the sh*t beat out of us on defense), played 2 non Div 1 schools, and didn't beat many high quality teams during the 11 game win streak. So for me it was better than a good year but not a great year.

The 11 straight wins were awesome. The way that season began and ended are what prevented it from being great though. Can't fault the loss to Clemson, but losing to SCar and the embarrassment that was the Baylor game prevent that season from qualifying as great.

Being content with mediocrity keeps the program there.
