Draws attention to a couple of facts in a new piece. One is that it is now commonplace for teams playing for a national championship to start a freshman QB. The other is that all kinds of 5 and 4* QB recruits are transferring out as soon as they realize that they will not start for years at the school with which they signed.

Whether you see this as good news or bad news for UNC football depends on what Fedora does and what you would prefer he do. And your long term assessment may well hinge on what happens to the QBs we have on our roster now, and had last year., as well as how many wins we get this year.

But perhaps not.

Most teams will not start a freshman QB, especially the ones competing for a NC. That being said Bama should have started whatever his name is from day one. Hurts is a good runner but can't throw a lick. Don't be surprised if after a few weeks Clemson will be starting Lawrence. Most of the time it is not a good idea. Jace anyone???

From everything I have read and heard Jace is learning the playbook great, but is simply not ready to handle the offense. Shows signs, and has all the tools but needs a yr of seasoning.
